Is #FriedChickenAndWaffles Wednesday a thing? If not, it should be because this was just too good and should be commemorated weekly with a made-up food holiday. I’ve had my eye on @TheEggSpotMiami for awhile since they had this on their menu. The fact that it comes with a sweet potato waffle increased my curiosity level a bit. I finally was able to try it and it definitely satisfied my craving. The fried chicken was crispy and tasty, yet not overly greasy or breaded. The sweet potato waffle tasted like a regular waffle to me, especially after being drenched in syrup (as it should be). I probably should have taken the time to try the waffle without syrup or chicken to get the full flavor profile and taste the subtle nuances in my palate. But, I was hungry. My grumbling stomach was having none of that having had to wait what seemed an eternity while my photographer-self got a good picture. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #TLDR version: it was great and you should definitely try it if you’re a fan of the whole sweet and salty thing.
